A/N : Y'all wanted some drama .. just trust the process.

The bass was humming low from the speakers as Gabriella, aka H.E.R., sat behind the soundboard, head bobbing, fingers dancing over her laptop as a sultry, unreleased track filled the space.

Teyana was sprawled out on the couch, nodding along with a smirk. I was posted up beside her, eyes closed, vibing to the beat. Gabby's voice came through smooth and raw, tugging at something real inside me.

When the track ended, I let out a low whistle. "That was fire. Like... for real."

Gabriella smiled, brushing her curls back from her face. "You think so?"

"Absolutely. The lyrics? The vibe? It's grown-ass woman music."

Teyana laughed. "Told you, Gabs."

Gabby blushed a little and sat on the edge of the desk, eyes flickering between the two of us. "I appreciate that. This one's special to me."

I nodded, grabbing my water bottle. "It shows. You been pourin' your heart into the music."

She looked at me for a second too long. "Yeah... been in my feelings a little. Thinkin' a lot about love lately."

Teyana groaned dramatically. "Here we go..."

Gabriella ignored her, her eyes still on me. "You ever feel like... love sneaks up on you? Like you didn't see it comin', and now it's got a grip on you?"

I shifted in my seat, heart tugging a little. "Yeah," I said quietly. "Yeah, I've been there."

Gabby smiled softly. "You there now?"

Teyana raised an eyebrow, smirking behind her glass of juice.

I looked between them, lips twitching. "Y'all real nosey."

"That's not a no," Gabby said playfully.

I shrugged, leaning back with a lazy grin. "Maybe. Maybe not."

Gabriella tilted her head. "Come on, YN. You've been dodging the question since the other night. Who is she?"

I laughed, trying not to picture Bey's smile in my head. "Let's just say... she's someone that makes it hard to think about anybody else."

Gabby's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Is it someone we know?"

"Wouldn't you like to know," I teased.

Gabriella folded her arms and leaned in. "I would, actually. Especially if she's got you acting brand new."

I smirked. "She's... special. That's all I'm sayin'."

Gabby leaned back, chewing on that for a second. Her voice dropped a little, more thoughtful. "Well... whoever she is, I hope she knows what she's got. 'Cause if it were me..."

Teyana threw a pillow at her. "Alright! Y'all makin' me the third wheel again."

I laughed, but something about the way Gabriella looked at me lingered a little longer than I expected. Still, my thoughts drifted back to Beyoncé — her voice on the phone, the way she kissed me like she didn't want to let go. Yeah... she was the one I couldn't stop thinking about.

We were still in the studio, Gabriella queuing up another track, Teyana dancing around like she had no worries in the world. The laughter, the music, the carefree vibe—it was a good time. But good times don't always last.

I made the mistake of opening Instagram.

Big mistake.
