Baby ignores you, attention focused on his phone. You lay in bed, closing your eyes and trying to make it look like you're sleeping. You focus on keeping your breaths level to the best of your abilities.
Eventually, Baby shifts again, leaning to the side to stretch. You lunge and wrap your fingers through his hair, yanking his head down until you have enough leverage to pin him down. His phone clatters off to the side as you straddle his chest, wrapping your fingers around his throat.
His pupils dilate into slits, lips peeling back as he snarls. The guttural sound is almost enough to scare you away, but you squeeze tighter.
Baby's hands shoot up around your wrists, slowly overpowering you. He flips you over and sits on your abdomen as he curls a hand around your neck. He applies pressure, and his grip is rock-solid.
His grip strength is too strong for you to fight back against. You try to pull the same maneuver he did, but it's impossible. You kick your legs out and weakly slap at his side.
Baby releases you, allowing you to suck in desperate breaths. You roll to the side, choking and spluttering for air.
"Don't do that again," he warns, picking his phone up again. He perches himself in the armchair in the corner without so much as looking at you again.
Your mind reeks with what just happened. His strength... It's impressive.
"Go to sleep," Baby absently says. "The drug requires time to fully wear off."
You glare at him and push yourself up to your feet. He pays you no attention as you sway for a moment, very dizzy, and very angry.
"I hate you," you mutter, leaning against a wall. You clutch at your head and groan. "I hate you all! I'll never be your stupid manager!"
"Right." Baby tilts his phone to the side and starts tapping, no doubt playing a game. You take a moment to steady yourself before sprinting out the door the others had gone through. You hear a rustling behind you and run faster.
You run through a dark hallway with dark purple lights. It's an odd decor, but you don't have time to spend on those musings. You need to keep going.
You turn a corner, almost losing your balance. You regain your foot and pump your legs harder. It's clear that you haven't recovered enough for this, because spots dance in front of your eyes.
You slip into a room, shutting the door. You look around and spot a four poster bed with black, silk sheets. There's a dresser to the side, and a lantern on the bedside table.
You hear Baby's approaching footsteps and drop to the floor, crawling beneath the bed. You press yourself up against the far wall, keeping your eyes locked on the shut door.
You don't know how much time passes. You can hear your heart pounding in your ears and your frantic breaths the only sounds you hear.
For all you know, he's waiting outside the room for you to grow bored. The moment you peek out of the room he'll force you into a headlock and end you once and for all. In a humiliating headlock after being abducted by a boy band.
Definitely not how you want to go.
Your breathing eventually evens out and you calm yourself. They'll think you really did escape, and while they try to find you, you can really escape.
The door cracks open, purple light flooding inside. Your breath catches in your throat and you curl into a ball, glad that there's no dust under the bed. You would hate to sneeze and give yourself away.
"Oh, you sweet, naïve thing," Jinu's voice croons as he pads into the room. You can see his shoes from under the bed. "You really thought you can hide? Baby isn't pleased... He looks so cute, but you're going to regret this later."
You bite your fist to stop yourself from whimpering. You don't want to find out what he means by that.
Jinu crouches, trailing his sharp, almost claw-like nails across the hardwood floor. His fingers look sharper than you remember.
"Come out now," Jinu sings, a simple melody that sends shivers down your spine. "I just want to talk. Doesn't that sound nice? A nice, friendly conversation about what we expect from you."
You shake your head, even though he can't see you. You're not stupid enough to fall for that. You know it won't just be a talk.
Jinu straightens and walks around to the other side of the bed, shoes clacking on the floor. "I know you're here. You think you could just break into my bedroom with me knowing?"
You freeze. You're in his room, under his bed. The idea of that shouldn't affect you as much as it somehow does.
Jinu peeks under the bed, bright golden eyes immediately locking on you. It seems like they shine in the darkness, or maybe they just reflect light?
Right. They're just reflecting light. Eyes don't glow.
"I see you," Jinu whispers, slowly reaching his hand out. His nails look blunt again. Did you imagine them being sharpened? Jinu smiles, tilting his head. "If you come out now, I won't hurt you. Don't make me crawl under there, because I won't be happy."
You shuffle away further. You are intent on being as difficult a captive as possible. They will regret taking you away from your life.
Jinu sighs. "I thought you would've made a great manager for us... The Saja Boys are already so popular, it would be less work than your last position. Plus, we could crush your last company."
You swallow thickly. It's a tempting offer, getting revenge like that. "I'm not exactly sure I trust you. You drugged me and took me here."
Jinu's expression turns dreamy as he stares into the distance. "We could steal all their fans... We could make them ours, and then..." Jinu trails off and focuses his gaze on you again. "Doesn't that sound good?"
"I- I guess." You chew on the inside of your cheek for a moment. It's insane thay you're even considering his offer. "But if I'm your manager, there's some rules you have to follow."
"I would expect nothing else," Jinu smoothly says. "Now come on out, and you can tell us your rules."
You take a deep breath before slowly sliding out from under the bed. You wobble in place, still feeling the effects of whatever they gave you.
Jinu curls an arm around your waist to help support you. He pulls you flush to his side, tracing circles on your hip with his thumb. "Careful," Jinu calmly says, a small smile on his lips.
"First rule," you state as you shove away from him, "is no touching."
Jinu retracts his hand, bobbing his head. "Very well. Let's find the others then, alright?"
You trail after him down the purple hallways. You frown at the tinted light fixtures. "Jinu, why is it purple?"
"It reminds us of home," Jinu responds instantly, not looking back at you from ahead. Even the way he walks is elegant.
You hate him.
"Here we go." Jinu pushed a door open for you, propping it with his foot so you can get by.
You walk into the room, met with the sight of all their other Saja Boys. Abs is laid out on a couch, Mystery is leaning against a wall, Romance is sitting in front of the couch, leaning against it. Baby glares at you from the corner.
"Your neck is bruised," Romance remarks, eyes flicking to Baby. He crosses a leg over the other at the ankle.
Jinu perches himself on the arm of the chair, looking at you expectantly. "Well? What are your rules?"
