This was beginning to feel like a weird dream he couldn't escape.
There was no where for him to hide. No phone for him to escape on. No privacy, nothing. And now, when he was finally getting used to the villa, the producer brought in new girls.
Would it be fucked up to say that he wasn't enthusiastic for this?
Obviously, he wanted to get to know the girls. When they asked if he was closed off, he responded with a simple "nah." Because he and Cierra weren't closed off—which was good.
Nic felt bad though. This wasn't Cierra's fault, or any of the ladies fault, that he ran to surface-level relationships because he was afraid of deeper ones. And it wasn't their fault that he was grieving a deeper relationship he could've had if he weren't such a fucking pussy.
After Ace was done talking, Nic started: "I had a strong-" oh fuck, wrong girl. He cleared his throat and tried again. "I have a strong connection with Cierra, and um...."
Ace cackled. "That's crazy." Nic felt like strangling the little shit.
Eventually, they were able to talk one -on-one with the ladies. He talked to Clarke, and she was cool.
Yeah.
Honestly, he could tell there wasn't a mutual attraction between the two—she was calm, chill, but didn't make creepy faces or do dumb shit that made him cackle.
He didn't find himself wanting to count each and every one of her eyelashes or resist the urge to kiss her.
Nic would blame it on the fact that he just met her, but when he first met Olandria he felt his heart palpitate in ways he didn't know was even possible.
Fuck, he was fucked up. Olandria fucked him up.
What was she even doing? In Casa with a bunch of hot men, and they were all probably fighting over her. And knowing how she was, she'd go to the one that intimidated her the less. Because that's where he and Olandria were similar—they loved their comfort zone.
She stayed with Taylor because she was uncomfortable being with someone who wanted her deeply and intensely, even though she craved that.
And Nic bounced around from girl to girl because he was uncomfortable being deep with someone, even though that's all he wanted.
Two halves to the same coin—maybe that's why they were so drawn to each other.
Too bad you're too afraid to be with her. Too bad you'd rather lose her entirely than let her see all the parts of you that aren't charming. Too bad you waited too long.
Nic was a nurse. He knew how to identify patterns. But just because he recognized the pattern didn't mean he knew how to stop it. That was the fucked-up part. That was the part that kept him up at night.
He was starting to hate this fucking show. He wanted to go home.
Ew. Nic was starting to sound like his sister—all whiny and dramatic. Did he miss her? A little. No, never mind, no he didn't. Although, if his sister and his mom was here, they'd probably be smacking him senselessly.
And now he was thinking about his mom. He missed her for sure. Would his mom like Olandria? Probably—his mom liked women who had their shit together, hated when he got with women who didn't. In fact, she'd probably like Olandria enough that she'd want Nic to stay away from her. 'Since you're stuck on being an asshole, how about ya go waste someone else's time?' His mom would probably say.
Fine. Then it was time to pull Jaden for a chat.
"How'd I know we were gonna have a conversation over there, " Jaden said teasingly. She was so fine—he was such a sucker for beautiful women, it was sickening.
