Mystery sits at the foot of your bed, reading through a manga you've never seen before. Each time he angles it to flip to the next page, you catch sight of the cover. There's a man with bright red eyes on it, tongue flicking out between his fingers.

"So," you say, trying to sound casual, "is that a new book?"

"Romance got it for me," Mystery briefly says without looking up. "It's... interesting."

You lean back into the pillows, utterly bored. You've been in bed for an entire day, only getting out to go to the bathroom. Not by choice, but by their insistence.

"What's it about?" you ask. There's nothing else to do, so you might as well learn about the freak books that Romance is apparently giving out.

"Vampires." Mystery lifts his gaze to yours, a smirk playing on his lips. "Romance said that it had some things he wanted to try."

"What... What kind of things?" you warily question. You have a feeling you know where this is going.

Mystery chuckles and shuts the book, giving you his full attention. "Don't worry, it's nothing you have to do. He wants to try being bitten."

"Oh." You sit up after a minute. "Mystery, I'm bored. Can't I go do something? We both know I'm fine."

Mystery hands you the book, getting to his feet. "You can read, but you're not getting off bedrest yet. You need to be well-rested for tonight."

You take the book from him, raising an eyebrow at his words. "What does that mean? What's happening tonight?"

Mystery simply walks out of the room, leaving you with Romance's vampire manga. You stare at it for a moment before sighing and opening it. You read about half of it, skipping some of the more gory scenes, before Abs walks in, smiling softly.

"Bored yet?" Abs asks, tilting his head. He looks sympathetic to your plight, and has brought watermelon slices.

"Very," you agree. You grab a slice, pleased to discover the fruit is at the perfect texture, with barely any seeds.

Abs hums and sits on the floor next to the bed, propping himself up against it. He eats his own watermelon and places a bowl for the rinds on your bedside table.

"Do you know what's happening tonight?" You poke his shoulder. 

Abs tips his head back to grin at you. "Yeah, I do. It's a good surprise, though. Not like the proposal."

You snort and chomp on the watermelon again. "Can't you just tell me what it is?"

"And ruin the surprise? Nope. Can't do it." Abs shakes his head, putting his rind in the bowl before taking another slice. He notices the book on your lap and points his chin at it. "What's that?"

"Oh, it's the book that Romance lent to Mystery, who lent it to me," you explain. "It's weird. It's a vampire story about a human who drinks vampire blood? I didn't know that was a thing."

Abs' lips quirk in amusement. "Ah. Oh, and Jinu's out setting up a credit card for you. Payment for you being our manager."

"It's about time," you grumble. "I mean... not that I'll be using it a lot. I got the impression that there won't be a lot of going out in my future."
