It's funny because weeks ago, Olandria was yearning to be wanted.

She watched Ace plan dates with Chelley and wished Taylor would do the same. She had been worried that he wouldn't be able to plan things for her without Ace or Nic's help.

It turned out he just didn't like her.

She would watch Nic pulled Cierra into his lap, arms wrapped around her, lips on her neck as they talked about the little things, and wished Taylor would do the same. She had been worried that Taylor was too slow to initiate anything physical.

It turned out he just didn't like her.

In the beginning of this experience, Olandria had craved being wanted. And for Olandria—for so long—being wanted was taboo, irrational, a thought only to fantasize about.

Because wanting was always temporary. A temporary fix, a temporary gratification. And when they were done, she'd be disposed of and they'd find someone else to want.

Olandria wanted for so long to be wanted, and that terrified her.

But—

"Look, there goes Evangeline," Nic muttered, pointing up at the sky.

Olandria's eyes widen and she felt her lips pull upwards before she could stop them. Her heart skipped a thousand beats. "Aww, you remembered?"

Nic nodded. "Something like that." He sounded like he was hiding something, a cheeky secret for him and him only.

Olandria eyed him carefully. She wanted to pry but decided to let him have his own thoughts. "I'm gonna get you to watch it," she said instead.

"Whatever you want," he replied easily, lacing his fingers through hers.

Olandria found something better than being wanted.

Nic's arms wrapped around her, and they silently watched the islanders talk and make late night breakfast in the kitchen. He was running his fingers along her knuckles, and Nic was usually so hyper but for once he was quiet, soaking in the moment.

Olandria found something better than being wanted:

Olandria found what it meant to be loved.

That made all of this worth it.

"There's a lot of things we have to do when we get off the Villa," Nic murmured, tracing her knuckles still.

The thought of them outside of the villa still excited her. She wanted to hear all about it. "Tell me."

And there he went, softly rattling off everything he was going to do with her, everywhere he was going to take her. As if he was presenting her the world to have. Like she deserved it.

And to think Olandria never wanted to leave the South.

A text suddenly rang through the villa and they all flinched. Olandria was quite frankly, done with the texts. There was only a couple of days left on the villa, but she knew hearing any kind of notification was going to send her spiraling.

Amaya got the text.

She gasped.

"What?" Olandria asked anxiously.

"Islanders, the Hideaway is now open. Please choose one couple to spend a private night together."

Oh shit?
