oh my god.
After staff made them practice the choreography for tonight, the girls got a spa day, which Nic was going to consider bullshit until he realized he had the entire day to nap to sleep until the finale tonight.
Which was weird. Because after that, they'd be in a Fiji hotel, to the Fiji airport, right back in America.
This was his last day on the villa. Nic shouldn't be spending it sleeping inside all day.
So, he grabbed the blanket, and pulled himself out on the day beds to sleep outside.
"You piss me off so much," Ace sighed, although he was also next to Nic. Soon Pepe and Bryan joined the duo, and they were all just sitting there, staring out.
"Can you believe we're finalists?" Pepe asked softly. "This shit is like...crazy."
Nic nodded. "I think the four of us treated our ladies right. Naturally if you treat your girl right, the universe rewards you. And shit."
"And shit," Bryan snorted. "Now that the girls aren't here, be for real. How'd you like the date?"
Nic raised an eyebrow. "You didn't like your date."
Bryan shook his head. "The problem is I liked the date too much, bro. Seeing the photo album, dancing to the music--man I kept fucking crying like...how'd I get here?"
Nic understood that completely.
"Same with me and Iris," Pepe said, leaning back. "We came in together, and I've always fucked with her. It just never hit me that, like, we could be together. If anything, I think us starting off as friends helped our bond even more."
Nic understood that completely too.
Ace was smiling to himself, dimples out, and the boys giggled. "The dinner I think really...clarified stuff for us. Especially with how awkward our family had made things--"
"You didn't really explain," Pepe interrupted, and Nic nodded. He didn't know their family made things awkward.
"I think in general, poly relationships make people uncomfortable. And I'm the youngest one, which their parents don't like. My family thinks that I might not be able to handle two women if I never even had one girlfriend."
They all stared at Ace, listened to his list off the critiques of their relationship. It made Nic feel bad--while Nic and Olandria had gotten nothing but validation, Ace, Coco, and Chelley got the opposite.
"But our dinner--it made me really realize that we genuinely love each other. I don't know how else to describe it, but it don't feel like I'm a man with two girlfriends. It feels like I really found my like...my-"
"Soulmates?" Nic blurted.
Ace furrowed his eyebrows. "You believe in that?"
Nic showed his wrist tattoo. "Red string theory."
Ace rolled his eyes, but Pepe nodded. "Man, didn't you meet Chelley already? And Coco also lives in L.A.? This was meant to happen bro."
He was trying not to smile, but Bryan pointed at Ace's cheeks. "Dimplesssss~"
"Shut yo ass up... But yeah, soulmates."
Nic completely understood that too.
"Well gentlemen," Nic said, watching the sky dip into a pretty indigo. "Whoever wins gets bragging rights for approximately two months. Deal?"
"Three," Bryan bargained.
"Two and a half," Nic negotiated.
"Deal."
