You stand outside the door to your destiny, pulse thrumming like a war drum in your ears. For a moment, you hesitate, fingers hovering at the handle.

Alright. I guess this is really happening.

There's no point in delaying. You've already committed. You already told yourself that you'd give this an honest try, that you'd prove—to Huntrix, to Celine, to yourself—that you're capable of belonging here. Backing out now would only mean betraying the promise you made. And so, you take a deep breath, smooth down your hair one last time as if it might somehow give you courage, and push forward.

The door clicks open, and inside, Bobby greets you immediately. His smile is wide, warm enough to thaw some of your apprehensions. It's the kind of smile that eases the tension in your chest before he even speaks.

"Good morning!" he hums brightly. His voice is chipper in that very specific early-hour way, as if exhaustion fears him. "I know it's early, but I hope you slept well. How are you feeling? Nervous? It's okay to be nervous, so don't worry. We'll take this as slowly as we can and give you time to adjust. What matters most is that you do your best!"

Then, to top it all off, he flashes you a thumbs-up—goofy but undeniably endearing.

You let out a small chuckle, shoulders finally loosening. He has a way of breaking down your walls. His whole presence is gentle, disarming. He's the type of person who feels like he can be trusted without question.

"Thanks, Bobby," you smile, and it's genuine. "I think I'll be okay, though. I said I was going to put in the effort to prove that I can keep up with Huntrix, so that's exactly what I'm going to do."

Bobby's expression transforms, his grin somehow stretching even wider. His eyes shine absurdly bright, and you wonder if he might cry tears of relief right there.

"Oh, perfect! I really like your attitude. That alone tells me that you'll be cut out for this. Now, just follow me," he waves, beckoning you further inside. "You're scheduled for dance training first, so I'll introduce you to one of the choreographers we know."

You trail behind him through the sleek hallways. Your footsteps echo faintly against the varnished floors. Every inch of the space whispers professionalism, precision, and expectation.

All of a sudden, though, you hear it. Familiar voices. Warm like the sun spilling into a cold room.

"Yay, [Name]!" Zoey squeals, before you even spot her. She practically launches herself at you, her arms wrapping tight as she squishes her cheek against yours in an embrace that radiates unfiltered joy. "So glad you made it! We kind of wanted to surprise you a little bit. We won't stay too long, but we're here to wish you good luck on your first day of training!"

You hug her back, smile tugging wide at your lips.

"Thanks for the surprise. I really appreciate it."

When Zoey pulls back, your gaze shifts further down the hall. Mira is there, calm and composed as ever, her arms folded loosely across her chest. She inclines her head with a subtle nod.

"Hey," she greets simply. "How are you feeling?"

"Not bad," you reply. "I just want to do a good job so that I don't let anyone down."

Her lips curve faintly, a ghost of a smile that nevertheless reaches her eyes. "Knowing you, I'm pretty sure you'll be fine."

Her tone is as cool as always, but there's no denying the warmth hidden beneath. The fact that it's her saying this—Mira, who rarely gives praise so directly—grounds you with reassurance more potent than anything else.
