Hello again. 

This chapter contains SMUT. If that is not for you, it occurs after the time skip. Don't read if you don't want to. It ends after the time skip as well.

Also, I wrote like six thousand words today with both these chapters. I'm so proud.

Your hands shake as you type the number into your phone. You hesitate a moment, wondering whether this is a good idea or not. 

You hit the call button before you can stop yourself, breath hitching when it rings. Why is your heart pounding in your ears? It's just a phone call. A phone call from a number that a demon gave you on a stapler. 

If your memory is correct. It's hard to tell these days. 

"Hello?" a voice says, sounding tired and defeated. 

You feel faint, leaning over and clutching the table. Your fingers dig in and you take a breath to steady yourself. "Jinu? It's me." 

"Fuck," comes a quiet whisper, barely audible to you. You have to strain your ears to hear it. He speaks louder after you make a small noise. "It's- It's actually you? It's really you?" 

You sink to the floor, gripping the phone likr it's a lifeline. "It's really me, I promise. Oh, Jinu. I missed you. I missed Romance, and Baby, and Mystery, and Abby-" 

"We missed you too," Jinu replies. He realizes that he cut you off and murmurs a curse. "I'm so sorry. I'm just- Shit, where have you been? Where are you? Why did you leave us?" 

"I'm at my old apartment." You squeeze your eyes shut. "And I'm sorry. I didn't know that you... That you were still alive." 

There's silence for a moment, and it feels heavy. You want to see his face. You want to hear the others and see and touch them. You want a hug, a kiss, and everything they have to offer. You want to give them everything you have. 

"The Honmoon is sealed," Jinu whispers. "It's golden. We can't get to you. We can't get through it." 

Your heart sinks, despair welling up inside you. You just got them back, and they're being stripped away again. "But- This is the farthest long distance. I can't do this." 

Jinu pauses, and then says, "You could come to us. It's a one-way barrier, but you could get to us. You could come to the demon realm, but you would never be able to-" 

"I'm coming," you instantly say. "I don't care what it takes." 

And so you have to say your goodbyes. 

First is HUNTRX. 

Zoey cries, throwing her arms around you. "Noooo! Don't leave us!" 

You awkwardly pat her back, giving Mira and Rumi away sheepish look over her head. "I'm sorry, but I don't belong here anymore. I'm a demon, and I... I belong with them. I'm so sorry, and I'll miss you. I know we weren't thay close, but-" 

"Shut up," Mira grumbles, joining the hug. "You're our friend, of course we'll miss you too. Do you have reception down there?" 

"Yeah." You nod, swallowing thickly. "I'm pretty sure. Jinu was able to get through to me." 

"Then we can FaceTime, and call." Rumi buries her face against you. She sighs heavily and lifts her gaze to your face. "I'm sorry about dealing it, but we can't afford another Gwi-Ma trying to get through." 

"I get it." You squeeze her tightly. "It's okay. I'll make sure to listen to all your songs, and we can call all the time." 

Bobby clears his throat, shuffling between his feet. "I, uh, don't really understand what me happening, but bye. And I'm sorry for accidentally kidnapping you that one time. I didn't really get what was happening then."
