"Let the record show that Zaria Eloise Jordan- Ferris, White Lantern of Sector 2814 is a daughter of both worlds... Judgment will be held under Tamaranean law as explicit approval from the Justice League of Earth. Guardians of the Universe, you may proceed."

Kory's voice rung out, sharp and commanding, slicing through the tension like a blade.

"God... please don't let it turn out like last time," Hal whispered to himself and held Carol's hand tight. "I can't do this again."

The Guardians stepped forward, their faces masks of austere authority. One of them raised a hand, motioning toward the containment cell, or what was left of it. The chains were gone, shattered, and the lattice had completely dissolved, leaving only Zaria standing, radiant and untouchable.

"She has been brought here under your jurisdiction, Guardian," Kory continued, her voice carrying over the entire chamber. "She has been restrained, examined, and judged. But know this, any further attempts to control her, to subjugate her, will be met with resistance not just from me, but from every being in this room who recognizes her sovereignty."

One Guardian, pale even beneath his usual blue-gray complexion, opened his mouth.

"Zaria Jordan... your power—"

"Is mine," Zaria interrupted, voice ringing like tempered steel. "Not yours to command. Not yours to judge. I am the sum of all I have endured, all I have survived, and all I will become. And make no mistake: I will not bow. I will not kneel. I will not compromise myself for your court, or your law, or your pride."

She stepped forward, both entities following like loyal servants.

"I will speak and you will listen to me this time."

"And if we refuse?" Sayd asked.

"Then I kill each of you until one is willing to listen... And I will start with you, Sayd."

The room erupted.

Lanterns started protesting and yelling over each other, Tamaranean guards struggled to hold them back.

But Zaria didn't flinch.

"YOU CANNOT KILL A GUARDIAN," a Green Lantern shouted. "YOU ARE A COSMIC ANOMALY WHO SHOULD-"

"Should I kill you instead?" Zaria countered and tilted her head.

The Green Lantern froze mid-shout, jaw slack. His Ring flickered nervously, as if uncertain whether it should defend him or resign itself to failure.

The room fell into a deafening silence.

"You see?" Zaria said calmly, almost conversationally, her voice carrying without effort. "That hesitation you just felt? That moment where your Ring didn't know what to do?"
