Kai Gilling, a transgender wanderer traversing the American West, has to trek hundreds of miles in his beat up Jeep, in order to reach an urban legend rumored to be the only settlement still thriving.

***********

It's a Wasteland, baby. In the uncomfortably not-so-distant future, the world has been ravaged by natural disasters, water shortages, and public apathy. People like Kai Gilling have flocked to the desert (once known as the American West) in hopes of finding a better life. After picking up a pair of siblings, the three come across a strange woman who claims to have a map to Arcadia, an urban legend rumored to be the only city thriving in the wreckage of the old world. Will they keep their hearts set on an oasis in the desert--even if it's just a mirage? Or will they be tempted by something else

Snippet: I scratch the back of my head. "Well. That didn't last long." Flynn grins. "Best one minute of his life, though." "That's what all my sex partners say." Have a filter Hayden, god. Flynn lets out a snort, almost tripping over his own feet. "That was a joke," I clarify. I bite my lip to stop myself from continuing the bit. "One minute wonder, hey?" Flynn teases and I'm so thrown by him matching my energy that I take too long to respond. He reddens, looking like he regrets everything that came out of his mouth. "Nah," I say quickly, letting it hang in the air before I add, "More like two-minute wonder." Summary: Lou Young has always seemed quiet and studious with a bad case of perfectionism. In her final year of high school, she's determined to knuckle down and focus only on doing well, but when Hayden Ramona hurtles into her life, with bad jokes and a bad case of hair dye, she's forced to face what's she's been hiding from all these years. The last thing Hayden Ramona planned on was moving to a quiet rural town in the middle of butt-fuck nowhere, where people still wince at the word 'gay'. But now that he's here, he's going to make the most of it, ignore people with bad mullets and definitely not get distracted by a certain sandy-haired boy. Annie McLean has been teaching at Glendale Secondary School for over four years now and this year she's back...just a little different from the last. Annie was expecting that coming out as a trans woman would be rough, especially when you teach a bunch of hyper 15-year olds, but wasn't quite ready for the aftermath. Better than Sticks is set in rural Australia and is an original coming-of-age work exploring identity, sexuality and family.
New Haven I: Godpiece by indig0jesse
35 parts Complete Mature
They say the gods are dead. In New Haven, one just woke up in a girl who never asked to be chosen. Beneath the acid-slick skies of a drowned canyon city, where advan-core tech pulses through rusted ruins and the air itself could kill you, a band of teenage misfits does what no one else dares: steal from High Haven. WILLOW, rebel leader and five minutes older than her chaos - wired twin, CANYON, is only supposed to hijack a mystery shipment. Simple job. In, out, vanish. But inside the armored airvan isn't tech or credit chips - it's a god's heart. A living godpiece. And it chooses her. Now her veins burn black, her mind fractures with divine whispers, and something ancient is using her body as a conduit. The power could save New Haven - or destroy it. It's also killing her. Enter NOA - a silver-tongued smuggler with a hidden past, war scars, and too many knives. She's from High Haven, and her loyalty flickers like a glitch. She says she wants to help the Scarves. Canyon doesn't trust her. But Willow? She can't stop looking at her. As revolutions ignite and monsters stir beneath the city, New Haven teeters on the edge of collapse. The godpiece is changing everything. And something older than memory is waking up in the deep. Would you betray your blood to save the woman you love? Would you burn a city to save the world? Grab your scarf. The canyon's calling. Are you ready to answer? - This story contains mature themes, graphic violence, and strong language. Recommended for older teen readers (16+) and above -

Shoshone Station: The Galactic Consortium season 2

180 parts Complete

Less than a year ago, they arrived over earth's sky. They call themselves the Galactic Consortium and they are human, or at least, simian - from the same genetic line as humans. They claim to have terraformed this planet centuries ago to serve as a base for their exploration of this galaxy. What happened to the settlers, why none of us remember this, remains a mystery. For America the concerns are more immediate. Will the Consortium accept our independence? Shoshone Station is the first joint enterprise, a solar power, space station parked in geostationary orbit over Denver, Colorado. It's been "gifted" to America, but as Sherman Lannister takes command he wonders just how much control the new American crew will really have. After all, what do they know about running a space station? For Sophia, a homeless transgender youth from Denver, the station is a second chance at a new life. But what will she do living amongst the stars?
