I am Hecate-goddess of witchcraft, of crossroads, of the Maid, the Mother, and the Crone. But in the mortal world, they call me Atala. I live by the sea in a white clay house, tending to the ailments of those who come to me. I am healer, secret-keeper... and observer of hearts. Then he appeared-a mortal man with eyes like the shallow sea, fearless and reckless, yet carrying the shadows of a thousand wounds. I followed him into a world I thought I had left behind, and I felt something I had not felt in centuries: desire. Love, however, is never simple. When war calls him away, and fear drives him to betray me, the life I carry-and the power I wield-will test the boundaries between goddess and mortal, mercy and vengeance, love and loss. Some fires are born of passion. Some are born of rage. And some cannot be survived.

This story unfolds in ancient Greece. For centuries, a prophecy spoke of the Chosen One-a man destined to rise, fight, and bring peace to his homeland. Yet after two hundred years, no such hero had appeared. Meanwhile, enemies of the land rejoiced, hunting and killing any man who showed signs of magic or power. Theron Alexandros was one such man-though he did not yet understand the strength he carried. Born and raised on a humble farm by a devoted mother, he was her world. She would have done anything to keep him safe, even give her own life. When she fell to a chronic illness, she entrusted him to the world, leaving him to survive, work, and earn his way. Determined to have a wife-even if love did not bind them-Theron arranged a marriage of convenience. The girl's father, a man in the neighboring town, agreed to sell his daughter for a fortune of one million gold coins. And so, by fate and circumstance, two very different paths were set on a collision course, their lives intertwined in ways neither could foresee.

"Hot-headed, stubborn, and annoying" is how she would describe him "Pretty when she's angry" is how he would describe her. Epic The Musical? Yes. Young Telemachus found a little girl in the training hall aggressively hacking down a training dummy with a wooden sword. Upon closer inspection, he realized it was Eftychia. He didn't know much about the girl, only in passing. Her mother was his mother's childhood friend. And with her mother's recent passing, her father became one of the queen's suitors, in short, an enemy. "What are you doing here?" he asked. The girl didn't look up but answered, "They won't let me hold a sword at home." "And?" Telemachus asked, not satisfied with the answer. "And mother said, Spartan girls do rigorous physical training. So I should have one too," she explained, pointing the wooden sword at him, "Want to spar?" Telemachus raised his brow at her. He knows that she was born and raised in Ithaca and was about to point it out when he noticed her red puffy eyes. She did just lose her mother. Telemachus agreed to the spar not expecting that this girl would be someone who would be by his side no matter what.
